Welcome To The Team!

We’re so excited to have you join us, and we’re looking forward to getting to know you better and introduce you to all of the dogs!

Below are a few things to help get you started before your first day of work. If you can get most of these done before the orientation meeting, that’s great! But there are a lot of steps, so we understand if not everything can be completed before then.

We will go over everything during your orientation meeting, but please reach out before then if you have any questions or need anything at all!

To get in touch, feel free to reach out to Ayla the Office Manager via email, or text her directly —heads up, there is no such thing as a “too late” text, you can text her whenever you’d like! She has a terrible sleep schedule, odds are she’ll probably be awake haha)

We know there might seem like a lot of steps, but they all play an important role in getting you set up, and some of them will definitely be helpful as you begin to learn the ropes!

  • We use a Ring doorbell so clients can let us know when they’ve arrived.

Go ahead and download the Ring app (here’s the iPhone link and Android link) and then create an account (your email and any password). Then, either during your orientation meeting or on your first day, we’ll get you connected to the daycare’s Ring device!

  • We use an app called PhotoCircle to share and organize photos from the daycare.

Download the Photocircle App (here’s the iPhone link and Android link) and create an account (your email and any password). Then either during your orientation or on your first day, we’ll invite you to our albums!

  • The software we use for the daily facility operations is called Gingr, and it’s browser-based (it’s not an app, so please don’t download the Gingr app, it will lead you in the wrong direction!).

Click HERE to head to the employee signup page, where you’ll create an account (you’ll use your email and any password for your profile). Once you’ve done that, we can activate your Gingr profile and you can start messing around and see how we manage all of the craziness of the facility!

  • We would love to get to know you a bit better! By having you fill out this form, we hope we can get everyone started on the right foot by making sure we use your accurate pronouns, find out if you have any allergies, and just a few more quick questions to make sure you and everyone else are as comfortable as possible as you settle into the team :)

  • So, we know these are a pain, but you only have to fill them out once!

    • If you have access to a printer, feel free to bring these already filled out

    • Alternately, you can fill them out by editing a screenshot on your phone, then either email or text them to us

    • Or we can of course have hard copies waiting for you during your orientation meeting!

    W4 Form

I9 Form (please make sure you either physically bring in, or take pictures of, two types of ID as listed on the form)

Direct Deposit form (if you plan to fill this form out during your orientation session, please make sure you have your banking info handy when you show up, or bring a voided check with you)

  • Our goal is to create the safest environment possible for the dogs in our care, so teaching all staff the basics of dog behavior is crucial!

All employees are required to complete a series of online dog courses, designed to help everyone learn about dog body language, dog psychology, fight protocol, and many other important aspects of group dog care.

Here is the Online Learning Dashboard. You’ll only be able to login after you’ve provided us with an email address, so once you’ve done that, you can click the above link, use the password “Password1” for now, and you should be good to get set up!

(No need to complete any chapters before your orientation meeting, we’ll just make sure you were able to login and start the process from there.)

**After you click the link, you’ll get a pop up for something called Go.Learn. It’s the app version of the training, but it doesn’t work on everyone’s phone. So feel free to either download the app and try it out, or click “Not Now” to be taken to the login section in the browser**

We have a designated New Hire Trainer that will act as a learning coordinator to help guide you as you go through the chapters, and they’ll help you apply what you learn in real time at work. They are there to help in any way, so please always ask if you need clarification or guidance about anything at all!

  • This thing is a thousand pages long, so we of course don’t expect you to read every word of it! It just covers how we operate, and we want to make sure we cover as many bases as possible.

There is an index on the left side of the page, and you can navigate directly to parts that may be of interest to you, or things about the facility, position or company protocol you may have questions about. Please of course let us know if you have any questions or concerns about anything you come across!

A link to the Employee Handbook will also be included in your Gingr Employee Profile (which we’ll explain at the orientation meeting), so it can be accessed several ways.

  • A huge perk of this job is the possibility of being able to bring your dog to work with you! However, employee dogs must meet our requirements in order to be allowed to come for daycare or boarding:

-There is a 90 day trial period before we can set up an evaluation with your dog, just to make sure you are settled into your position and have come far enough along in the learning process!

-Your dog must have been in your home for at least 4 weeks

-Your dog must be fixed if older than 9 months

-Proof of a recent negative fecal exam (conducted within two to three weeks of the evaluation date)

-Records with proof of up-to-date Bordetella (annual), Rabies and DHPP vaccines

-All dogs must come in for an evaluation, then pass a half day to be able to come to work with you. They must also pass a full day to be allowed to come for daycare. And they must pass an overnight to be allowed to board (all of the above is free of charge!)

-As long as your dog doesn’t distract you at work, and as long as your dog fits into the group and our environment, they can come to work with you as often as you’d like ☺️
