Carol and Sonia of Opportunity Barks have become Shadow's newest friends, he just adores them. Shadow does not usually warm up to people quickly as he is a rescued pound-dog with some issues reflecting prior physical abuse and neglect. He immediately loved them both and I new we were off to a great start. Now he is at attention as we approach the kennel, wiggling, wagging and excited to see them again. The peace of mind I have when I leave him in their care is fantastic. He's vacationed with them when I've needed to fly out of town numerous times and each time I'm happy to receive email posts with photos of his daily events. I usually can't leave him with anyone but my closest friends, sometimes far away requiring long drives to deliver him which only adds to my pre-trip errands. Now I have a short drive from downtown Eugene, we are greeted with love, fresh baked treats, and refreshments. I just love what they do and how they do it. They are very experienced with all sorts of animals and they obviously put great effort into providing the best environment possible for dogs in their care. Their new facility shows this, no corners were cut in the construction of this new dog paradise. Huge efforts were made to provide the best environment possible, air conditioning, huge play yard (indoor and outdoor!), shade, grass, spacious kennels, bathing facility, sparkly clean and fresh, and quite inviting with a visitors lounge. I cannot give them enough praise for their level of care and vision in creating a much needed service for dog owners who cannot always travel with their dog. All my friends and family know of them and how happy I am to have found them. I recommend you give them a call and a visit when you need to leave your dog friend behind, even if you have special needs such as insulin injections for diabetes like Shadow does. They take care of it all and they are a joy to visit and chat with upon coming and going. I love them both and really want them to succeed in their dream, now realized and ready for business. Give them a try! You'll be hooked and your dog will love you for the vacation and attention when you can't give it.

The NY/NJ area's loss is definitely Oregon's gain. Leaving our precious pups in Carol and Sonya's care always felt like we were doing more than finding them a safe and loving place to stay; to us, it was like giving them a fun vacation, too! Our dogs always came home happy, healthy and eager for their next visit. There was no place on earth where we'd felt better about leaving our four-pawed pack members, and no more compassionate and savvy people with whom to leave them. Much as we wish Carol and Sonya the best in their new location, we also wish they'd come on back to the east coast!

Oh, we miss you Carol and Sonya! We never had to worry when we went on vacation that our special little pet was well cared for. Rocky isn't a cat, nor a dog, nor is he much more than a handful of soft furry love but he means the world to us. Our little critter had all the care and attention that we would have given him while he stayed with these fine women several times. He came home happy and healthy each time. You left NJ and we miss you!!! I guess we'll have to move to Oregon so we can go on vacation again, eh?

To care for anyone or anything really depends on the person or people. Look no further! You will find peace of mind when giving your dog(s) over to Carol and Sonya for a day, a week, whatever! They are smart, loving, and totally dedicated to the well being of animal caretaking. You will not find better:-) This relationship will last.
